She always knew she was adopted, and her parents treated her entirely like a full sibling to their own flesh and blood children. This doesn't sound like a typical duergar settlement at all - because it wasn't. There were only a handful of families living there, the adults helping block orcish raids from the Hold of Belkzen to the east, and the children growing and thriving. While there were caves deeper and darker, she and her siblings were asked not to travel down them. Unlike most duergar, she was raised near the surface, in a small cave system near the northern-eastern edges of Varisia. She is a young duergar, barely old enough to be out of the house. They've been through quite a few adventures together. Look how great that corset fits over her rack!
That said, I finally got my hands on zbrush and I *love* what I can do to the fit of the clothes by creating some custom morphs in Zbrush. I had MORE troubles getting the cloak back so she could cast while still having it clear that this was the kind of cloak she could wrap herself all up in.

Macha is a duergar, and she customarily wears a long cloak to completely conceal her skin color in public, since duergar generally aren't super popular in populated areas. I hung up for a long time on this series, because Macha and her cloak were such a bear.
